A Little More Ooooomph!

One of the knocks about the iPhone 5S and iOS 7 in general is that it seems to suck the life out of your battery. I've had people tell me that by 11AM they're seeing their last remaining zaps drip away leaving them phoneless the rest of the day. Now to some people, that may be a good thing. But for those of us that still need to keep working through the afternoon and into the evening that's not so great.
To see if I could stretch the battery of my 5S out a little longer I started looking around for some alternatives. There are a number of cases that come with battery packs for the iPhone 5 and 5S but the one that caught my eye was from myCharge (http://www.mycharge.com) and called the Freedom 2000. The 2000 gives you roughly twice as much battery life and comes in a one-piece protective case that easily pops on and off.
To charge the Freedom 2000 you insert the phone in the case and pull out the charging tether which inserts into your iPhone's charging port. You then plug the provided cable into the micro-USB inlet in the 2000 with the other end going into your USB wall charger.
When your iPhone 5 is done charging you unplug the charging tether and tuck it into the recess on the back of the Freedom 2000. The 2000 will then automatically power off after your iPhone is unplugged.
If you're getting one of these little jewels the Freedom 2000 comes in 7 different colors and retails for $79.99 direct from myCharge but I also found it on Amazon for $65.39.
