Charge And Go
by Gary Woods
When you travel the only real question is which power adaptor are you going to forget? Is it going to be your iPod, your phone, your camera or your Bluetooth earpiece? To simplify things I found a company called Charge 4 All (www.charge4all.net) that makes several devices to address this issue.
The heart of their system is something called the charging tube. The tube is a device that has 4 ports that allow you to charge multiple electronic devices at the same time through a single power source. The tube will charge any hand-held electronic device including cell phones, mp3 players, Bluetooth devices, PDAs, digital cameras, portable GPSs etc.. Unfortunately this device won't charge laptop computers or we definitely would have hit the trifecta.
All of the companies chargers come with 5 "Smart Charging Plugs/Cords:" for iPhone/iPod, Micro USB, Mini USB for Blackberry, Motorola, Samsung SCH and LG Chocolate phones.
The company has several models with from 2 to 4 outlets each with the prices ranging from about $25 to about $70. The one I thought was coolest was the Portable Charging Mat retailing for $34.95. You can charge up to 4 devices at one time using a single power source for power which means you end up using 75% less energy to charge your devices.
The charger comes with a roll up charging mat that protects your personal digital devices. If you're on the go a lot I'd recommend just keeping the mat rolled up in your travel bag or briefcase so no matter where you are you've got power for all your portable gadgets.
