Don't Forget to Remember
by Gary Woods

One of my favorite iOS Apps is Reminders. I've got several different lists set up to remind me about various activities. The App can be configured to remind you on a date or even cooler when you're entering or leaving a particular location. But, sometimes the reminders I need are a little more in depth than what Reminders can handle.

What all this is leading to is a free web based application I saw the other day that's primarily aimed at guitarists, their instruments and accessories. The App is called Guitar Tracker and is put out by a company called Music Nomad

To set up the application, the user creates an inventory of their gear ranging from guitars, amps, pedals and more and for each item. Then, the user can upload photos, year-make-model, serial number, purchase price, string info, and a lot more data. Putting in the serial number and photos alone could be a great help if the instrument is ever stolen.

Even though the application which is designed by Music Nomad, a company which sells products to help you maintain your guitar is specifically designed for guitars you can also upload information on any equipment like computers, camera, or electronics via your computer, tablet or phone.

Guitar Tracker is a neat little free program which could be very useful for all manner of inventory applications. So, while you're putting together your to do list for the New Year it might be good to check out.
