I give about 100 talks a year not to mention the approximately 100 classes I teach at the Association of Realtors. To do that I have a couple of projectors for when I’m in a room that seats 100 or more. Then, when I’m at the Association I plug into their 50” plasma TV. For all of this I have a seemingly endless collection of adaptors for all the different venues at which I speak. I definitely know a lot about projecting my phone, laptop or iPad on a screen but there was something that popped up the other day that I had never heard of.
The cool little projector I found is called the Gee-Whiz Smartphone Projector. For the low, low price of just $27.00 plus tax and shipping you get a projector made of cardboard pieces and a magnifying lens which morphs into a simple, nostalgic and power free projector. You simply pop your phone into the device and the image will be displayed as much as 8X bigger on your wall, ceiling or wherever you point it.
The projector works with all iPhones except the 6+, the iPod Touch and all Android phones except the Note. The stated usable dimensions are up to 5.7 inches long and 3.2 inches wide.
To make it work the darker you can get the room the better the image will project and you should turn the brightness up on your phone to the maximum and project the image on to a white wall or screen for best results.
You can find the Gee-Whiz at Photojojo http://photojojo.com/store/awesomeness/gee-whiz-smartphone-projector/ and happy viewing.
