Flash This Just IN!!!!
by Gary Woods Sometimes when I'm working I get so zoned I forget to check in on the world around me. I still check my email however so I found a very cool source for things that I'm interested in to be delivered to me as they happen via email. Google has created a service called Google News Alerts that can be delivered to you daily or as the event occurs. To get the service setup just go to http://www.google.com/alerts and put in the words or phrase that you're interested in. Next ,select how often you want this information sent to you. Then, put in your email address and click on "Create News Alert." Google will send you a confirmation email that contains a link back to their service. To activate your News Alert, you MUST click on the link or copy and paste the URL into your browser. Once you've confirmed your request by doing this, they'll begin checking for news to send to you. Once you've created a Google News Alert, you can't edit it. However, it's very easy to delete the old News Alert and then create a new one. When you're no longer interested in receiving information on a topic every News Alert contains instructions on how to stop receiving emails. Simply click on the link you'll find at the bottom of your news alert email and you'll be unsubscribed from that specific News Alert. So, what interests you?????
