Is That a Desktop in your Pocket???
by Gary Woods Wouldn't it be cool to have all your applications and files in your pocket? Everything would be on your Thumb Drive just waiting for you to find a friendly computer to slide it into so you could open up your very own desktop and go to work. Well if that sounds good to you I've found some software you just gotta' get. First up, there's MojoPac www.mojopac.com which is the truest version of a mobile desktop I've seen. You just install MojoPac on your thumb drive and add data. Then, the MojoPac desktop which is a custom interface similar to a regular Windows desktop pops up and you're off and running. Just can install any Windows application on your thumb drive and it will function as if you were using it on a regular PC. You can try the software out for 30 days and if it works for you it'll set you back only $50. Another option with similar functionality is from Ceedo www.ceedo.com and includes a number of applications within its system. Ceedo is only $30, but you'll need another program called Argo which also costs $30 to run applications such as Microsoft Office apps and Lotus Notes. Finally if all you need is to synchronize your email and share data files, there's MigoSync from Migo Software www.migosoftware.com. For $30 you get the look and feel of your desktop but you won't be able to store and carry any applications. So is that your data in your pocket or are you just glad to see me?
