It's Bigger, It's Smaller
by Gary Woods
There doesn't seem to be much in-between for movies these days. Either you're looking at them on your itty bitty iPod screen or staring at them on your mammoth 50+" projection screen. The problem comes when you want to watch something in one medium then when you get somewhere else you want to watch it in another medium. Converting Video data is kind of a pain and can be really time consuming so what do you do if you want small then instantly want big?
The Pico PK-101 PocketProjector is a DLP style device that weighs in at only about 4 ounces with a battery and under 3 ounces without one. You can get anywhere from a 6" image up to a 60" image with a projection distance from 10" to 102".
The projector gives off a 1000:1 contrast ratio and even has a .5 watt speaker if you're not close to any external audio hookups. The DLP bulb is estimated to last around 20,000 hours.
You can hook the Pico up to iPods, iPhones & iTouches as well as Camcorders, DV-Cams and Digital Cameras. DVD Players and other video players are enabled with standard composite AV Out with included composite cable.
On battery power the Pico will last about 1.5 hours or there is an included AC converter. Whether you like your video big or small this Pico is a great little bridge no matter which way you go.
