Just a Blip on the Radar!!!

Just as I'm getting used to all of the Picture sharing sites on the Internet along comes a bunch of sites which allow you to share your videos. The first one I saw is Blip.TV http://www.bliptv.com. This site offers free video Blogging, Podcasting, searching and sharing. You can create your own video blog on the site, or simply post links to clips from your own blog. Most of the site's videos are tagged, and Blip.TV generates a news feed of the latest video uploads. Blip.TV even sends your tagged video links to your Del.icio.us bookmark directory on your browser.

Another service is ClipShack http://www.clipshack.com. This free service makes posting your videos quick and easy. The interesting wrinkle that ClipShack adds to the mix is that it converts all the videos to Flash animations which means that most people will be able to see them without downloading any other software. Free uploads are limited to 50 MB with plans to have a pay service allowing for more storage space.

Ourmedia.org http://www.ourmedia.org is a storehouse for not only video but also audio and photographs as well as text on its sister site of archive.org http://www.archive.org. You have to register on both sites before you can upload. But after you do you can receive the media contributions of others via RSS feeds, or just browse around and check 'em out.

Finally you knew Google would get in the act, so for their offering check out http://video.google.com
