Online Video Editor
by Gary Woods
I love playing with video and I've just got myself a very cool Sony HD camera to help me on my way. When I'm finished with shooting I run it into Final Cut Express or iMovie on my Mac and then spend endless hours cutting and re-cutting scenes.
But, if all that cutting and re-cutting isn't your thing there's a free and easy way that you can get much better results from the videos you've taken for a very reasonable price because YouTube has come up with their free online Video Editor.
Some Videos go on way too long and others quit just when they're starting to get interesting but with the YouTube online editor you can trim videos, arrange them in a timeline and add a soundtrack. Even more impressive is that you can do all of those things quickly and easily. I'm reasonably sure this is just the first salvo in YouTube's effort to make your videos a whole lot more watchable but what they've done is still pretty cool.
The main features of the program are that it makes it very easy to edit and remix your videos while still being a very basic piece of software lacking any complex editing features. On the upside it's very easy to learn, you can do it quickly and it's free. When you're ready to make your videos really rock, check out the online editor.
