Standing In Line!
by Gary Woods I usually don't go to the Post Office but I happened to need to go there the other day when the price of a 1st class stamp went to 41 cents. The line was out the door and when I got to the front of the line I asked the guy why most of the people were there. He said to buy 2 cent stamps. They stood in line for 30 minutes plus for 2 cents stamps. I said there's got to be a better way so I went out and found the Dymo Desktop Mailing Solution. This two part package includes a label and stamp printer, and a scale that feeds package weights into the product's software. The 300-dpi LabelWriter Twin Turbo thermal printer requires no ink and it accommodates two rolls simultaneously. One roll is for the mailing labels and the other is for the stamps. The labels can be printed from popular programs like Outlook and Act, but to print the stamps you need another program that's provided with the printer. The scale connects to your computer and handles packages weighing up to 5 pounds. You just place your package on the scale and it displays the weight and appropriate postage. You then just click the button and the Dymo printer spits out the postage. The coolest part about the Desktop Mailing Solution is that because of requiring no monthly fee whether you do a lot of mailing or a little you'll never have to go to the Post Office again.
