Stick It Over There!
by Gary Woods

If you want to mount anything electronic in or on your car, truck, van, boat, motorcycle, forklift, helicopter or corporate jet, chances are that National Products, Inc. http://www.ram-mount.com will have it. Whether it's a GPS system, a PDA, a notebook computer, a sonar system, a video or digital camera, a scanner or a printer they've got it.

National Products has a truly amazing collection of anti-vibration ball and socket mounting systems collectively known as "RAM Mounts." The vibration absorption is handled by rubber balls which are injection-molded onto marine-grade aluminum posts and come in four different sizes with diameters from 9/16" to 2-1/4" to accommodate gear of different size and weight. There have more than 800 part numbers for all the different arms, sockets, holders, suction cups, bases and pedestals and they've come up with a numbering system that makes it obvious what fits with what.

I wanted to see what they had for mounting my HP iPaq 2215 and it turns out they have mountings not only for the iPaq h2200 series, but also the h4100 series, and even a model that fits all the 3000 and 5000 series models. This means they have something for everything from the very first iPaq to the latest h5500. The h2200 cradle also comes with a car charger and at the bottom of the cradle is a standard 9-pin RS-232 connector.

If you want to stick it somewhere look to National Products.
