Stuff Ya' Gotta' Have!!!

There are a couple of things I've been looking at lately that I thought you needed to know about. First up, looking cool and checking out the latest DVDs is a definite must in today's society so the new Video Goggles by Ingineo Eyetop are a must have. The Eyetop sunglasses accept any composite NTSC or PAL video source and display it on a color 320 X 240 pixel screen. The viewer sits just to the side of directly in front of your eye and you can choose a model according to which of your eyes is dominant.

The adapter runs on four double-A batteries and plugs into your DVD player, camcorder, or other device. The sunglasses look cool, but kind of primitive, and it definitely takes some time to get the image in a comfortable viewing position. Second up is the Innovative SideWinder by Solutions & Technologies http://www.sidewindercharger.com. This 3-ounce gadget is a tiny hand-cranked generator that breathes life into a nearly dead battery via an included cable. Two minutes of cranking gives you 5 to 6 minutes of talk time or a half hour of standby. The crank also powers an LED for emergency illumination. The SideWinder is a useful alternative to USB chargers and single-use battery packs with long shelf lives. SideWinder sells for $24.95 direct.
