Stuff You Can Get on Your Phone!
by Gary Woods

There are lots of things that Cell Phones can do other than letting your significant other know you're going to be late for dinner. For instance, with many camera phones, all you can do is upload and maybe share your pictures. With Kodak Mobile you can view your online albums, download and share the photos, and order prints. The service costs $2.99 to $3.99 per month and you can check it out at www.kodakmobile.com.

If you want to find out where something is you can try Google SMS. You send your questions to 46645, aka "GOOGL" and they text message you back the information you're looking for. You can get things like driving directions, word definitions, residential listings, and reverse phone lookups. And the best part is it's FREE!

4Info is another free service for finding things on your phone. Just put in 44636 and start asking. To find the nearest pizza restaurant just text "pizza Santa Barbara" and you can soon be finger deep in melted cheese. 4Info can also deliver jokes, drink recipes, pickup lines, and WiFi hotspots.

Finally there's MobiTV. For $9.99 per month MobiTV features 30+ channels of tiny, frame-dropping content. It's not bad when you're sitting around an airport or you need something to occupy your child but really the service just isn't perfected yet. This is one of those technologies that's going to take a while, but when it does really arrive it's gonna' be great!
