Take A Pill
by Gary Woods
Usually when I'm listening to my tunes I'm on the exercise bicycle early in the morning and I'd like to keep things quiet so I stick my Eytonic Headphones in my ears and cruise to the Classical sounds of KUSC. But, there are definitely times that I'd like to take out the headphones and just listen like a normal person. The thing is I'm usually on the move so the Altec Lansing Speakers I have hooked up to my computer aren't close by.
As we all know the watchwords in mobile computing are small and lightweight so I looked around and found the Chill Pill speakers https://cp.hammerheadcase.com by Hammerhead. The Chill Pill Mobile Speakers measure only 2" X 4" and they're great for sitting on your desk but small enough to take anywhere.
In Travel Mode you can keep the speakers clicked together with the cables retracted. Or, if you're going to be somewhere for a while you can separate the two components and put the audio cable into your iPod or other device. If you'd like some more bass you can twist and expand each speaker also giving you a louder sound.
There are three different styles of the speakers, the Chill Pill mobile which retails for $39.99 the Chill Pill Bluetooth for $59.99 or the Chill Pill Helmet speakers for $19.99.
The Chill Pill products seem like a cool option to when you don't want to sit around with something stuck in your ears.
