What About Me?
by Gary Woods

The other day I wrote a column about a cool little pillow to rest your iPad or Laptop computer on. But, right after the article hit the streets I got an email from Dave at Tip Pedic, a local manufacturer who said he had similar products with several different shapes. I checked him out online and he has a pretty cool array of stuff.

There are custom shapes, mattresses, eggcrate foams, pillows and supplies for making your own products. The product line that caught my interest however is called "Lap Top Easel" and is described as a Mobile ergonomic laptop computer desk and desktop book stand with orthopedic wrist support.

The Easel is made out of luxurious soft touch ultra-suede with a zip off cover so you can machine wash and tumble dry it when it gets too grungy to go on. There are easy carry side handles to carry it around with and large side pockets. If the basic easel shape doesn't work for you there are five other shapes ranging from a cylinder to a box to a wedge and some shapes I have no idea how to describe.

I found the product on for the low, low price of $39.95 with my most favorite words in the English language "Free Shipping." If you'd like to see more of what they've got check them out at or drop then an email at Or, if you're incredibly adventurous and want to trek out into the wilds of Goleta you can see the products at Upholstery Décor, 5788Hollister Ave in the middle of old town from Monday through Friday 9AM to 5PM or give them a call at (805)964-2001.

If you have any suggestions or questions for me please drop me a note at or see my column on the Internet at or call me at (805) 729-0910
