Ya' Gotta' Get It

I've had my iPad for about 6 weeks now and I've developed a list of stuff you should get if you have one. First, go out to BestBuy and get a screen cover and have them put it on. It'll cost about $45 for the cover and for them to put it on but spend the money it's worth it. Next, get Apple's Pages. It's a very good Word Process for $9.99 and presuming you're actually going to get some work done get the combination Dock/Keyboard from Apple. You won't need it all the time, but when you do it'll make writing a real pleasure.
After that, presuming you want to print what you wrote get PrintCentral. This $9.99 app allows you to tap into your Wi-Fi network and use all the printers that are connected to your computer. If you travel with your iPad the Map program that comes with the iPad is great, just turn on the option to show you different traffic levels.. Another free app is WeatherBug. This little app lets you see the radar maps, temperature, barometric pressure and wind overlays and I’ve found it to be invaluable.
If you like movies get Flixster. It's another free app and gives you both professional reviews and real people reviews on what's in the theatres and on DVD. You can also run the trailers for what you're thinking about seeing before you plunk down your dough.
If you're still in the stock market get Bloomberg. It's another free app and gives you an amazing amount of information including news, equity indices, commodities and you can put in your own portfolio and monitor how you're doing.
Well that's it for now. I've got a bunch more apps I'm looking adding to the Pad so stay tuned.
