Yummy, Yummy!!!

There is a new free service that allows you to save your bookmarks on the Internet so you can access them when you travel, or you can even share your bookmark list with the world. The service is called Del.icio.us http://del.icio.us and was just purchased by Yahoo.

To get going with Del.icio.us you just Register, log in, and add two buttons to your Internet Explorer browser or Bookmarks to your Firefox toolbar. After that you just click a button to bookmark the current page. Unfortunately the program doesn't allow you to do a batch upload of all your current bookmarks and favorites.

If you're truly a cool web cruiser you can tag your bookmarks and share them with the universe, or with a small group of friends, family, or co-workers. Or better still you can then access your Del.icio.us bookmarks from any web-connected computer in the world.

If you're a book lover, there's a site similar to Del.icio.us called Library Thing http://www.librarything.com You start by using the service to catalog your book collection, then you tag your books by topic, share your catalog with others, and then endlessly browse the titles that they have on their shelves. You can add the LibraryThing widget to a blog to show visitors what you have been reading lately, listing up to 200 books for free. If you've still got more to share, for $10 per year or a one-time $25 free you can list everything of which you've ever dreamed.
