I Just Gotta' Touch It
by Gary Woods
I know all of you out there with your iPads and iPhones just love to get your grubby little paws all over your beautiful devices. Then, when you get back home and fire up that big beautiful 21.5" iMac you feel those same greasy little hands reaching out to finger the screen. Hopefully, before you get there you realize that Apple hasn't quite come up with a touchscreen iMac just yet. So, what do you do?
Well if you just can't wait for a touchscreen iMac the folks at LumiaView, http://www.lumiaview.com have come up with the Zorro Macsk that fits over a 21.5" iMac screen and plugs into USB. With the Zorro Macsk on your machine you can use familiar finger gestures such as pinching to zoom and swiping left or right to turn pages.
As you'd guess games rise to the fore with the Macsk allowing you to play Angry Birds and World of Goo on a larger display. But, the device is also handy for teachers and office workers who do demonstrations. Graphic designers also benefit from it and a Zorro Macsk enabled iMac provides quick and easy sales transactions and more in the retail point of sale market. Also musicians can benefit from the Macsk with Musical Instrument Digital Interface connections.
The Zorro Macsk is the missing link between iOS devices and the iMac. It retails for $199 direct from the company or on Amazon. If you've just gotta' touch it, check it out.
