Every now and then I actually leave Santa Barbara. Not for long but it happens. One very joyous occassion was to see Ollie Johnston's famous trains. Ollie was one of the original Disney animators and has lived on La Canada for years. I have known Ollie's son Rick since my days at USC in the 70's and a few days a year Ollie cranks up his backyard train set and invites in some friends and neighbors.
