Santa Barbara Real Estate Comparison of this Year vs. Last for Goleta North through February 15, ‘06

In the Goleta Real Estate North area of Santa Barbara Real Estate for the Condo Market the number of total listings for ‘06 versus what was on the market last year at this time is up by 11 for a total of 30 properties currently listed and the New Listings that came on this year are up by 4 for a 44% increase. The number of sales are down however by 5 for a -38% decrease. The Average Sales Price is up slightly. Last year at this time it was $645,750 and this year it’s at $675,875 for an increase of 4%.

In the Single Family Home market for the Santa Barbara Real Estate area of Goleta Real Estate North there are 9 more properties on the market right now as opposed to last year for a total of 70, and there are more new listings this year with 29 for last year vs. 34 for this year. There are fewer sales with 15 this year vs. 21 last year for a -28% change. And the Average Sales Price is down from $1,149,048 last year to $1,121,500 this year for a -2% decrease.

In the Planned Unit Development Market of the Santa Barbara Real Estate area of Goleta Real Estate North there is 5 fewer properties on the market right now as opposed to last year for a total of 0, and there are 4 fewer new listing this year with 4 for last year vs. 0 for this year. The sales are down with 0 this year vs. 3 last year for a -100% decrease. And the Average Sales Price is down from $828,300 last year to $0 this year for a -100% decrease.

I just came across your blog and as a realtor in Boston are numbers are not bad either. It appears that the press is making both east and west cost real estate markets worse then they actually are Boston Condos
